Currently, there are a total of 97 national Paradores in Spain. These are hotel establishments located in historic buildings such as castles, monasteries, and palaces that have been restored and adapted to offer high-quality accommodation and tourist services to visitors. Each Parador has its own personality and offers a unique experience to its guests. The Paradores are managed by a public company, Paradores de Turismo de España, and are one of the largest networks of historic hotels in Europe.

There is no single Parador in Spain that can be considered the most popular in absolute terms, as each one has its own personality and attractions that make it unique and special. However, some of the most popular and recognized Paradores among visitors include:

  1. Parador de Santiago de Compostela: located in an old monastery, it is the oldest Parador in Spain and one of the most emblematic.
  2. Parador de Alhambra in Granada: located within the famous Alhambra complex, it is one of the most visited and spectacular in Spain.
  3. Parador de San Francisco in León: located in the former convent of San Francisco, it is famous for its Gothic cloister and medieval decoration.
  4. Parador de Ronda in Malaga: located in the former Town Hall, it offers spectacular views of the New Bridge and the Guadalevín River canyon.
  5. Parador de Úbeda in Jaén: located in a Renaissance palace, it is famous for its impressive architecture and decoration from the time period.

These are just some examples, but each Parador has its own attractions and is unique in its style and location.
